About Dr Sangeetha Pradeep

Dr. Sangeetha Pradeep graduated from Coimbatore Medical College, India, in 2003 before relocating to the UK, where she completed her Foundation Years in Scotland and Northern England between 2005 and 2007. She began her paediatric training in the London Deanery in 2007 and completed it in 2018, gaining extensive experience across general paediatrics and neonatology in district general hospitals, as well as specialist training in tertiary centres such as the Royal London Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and St Mary’s Hospital. Her subspecialty training covered paediatric neurology, endocrinology, and intensive care.

Dr. Pradeep has a special interest in paediatric endocrinology, managing children with conditions related to growth, puberty, thyroid, and other hormonal disorders. As a general paediatrician, she is highly skilled in treating a broad range of conditions, including allergies, asthma and other respiratory conditions, gastrointestinal problems, neurological issues, food allergies, urinary problems, abdominal pain, recurrent fevers, headaches, seizures, and skin rashes.

Since her appointment as a substantive Consultant Paediatrician at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, in January 2019, Dr. Pradeep has assessed and treated over 500 children each year in the outpatient department, while also caring for children requiring inpatient management. She regularly updates her knowledge through subspecialty courses and guides families to appropriate specialist services when required.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Pradeep holds several leadership roles within her NHS trust, including Paediatric Recruitment Lead and Appraiser, and she also serves as a panellist for national paediatric trainee recruitment. She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
