About Mr Simon Robinson
Mr Simon James Robinson is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery, a role he has held since 2017. His practice focuses on the management of shoulder osteoarthritis, shoulder joint replacement, and advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques. He also treats a wide range of conditions affecting the elbow, wrist and hand, with a particular interest in disorders of nerves and tendons as well as sports-related injuries. Mr Robinson graduated from the University of Manchester before undertaking his early surgical training at the Royal Preston Hospital. He completed his higher surgical training in orthopaedics within the Mersey region, during which time he obtained a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. Towards the end of his training, Mr Robinson gained specialist experience at the renowned Wrightington Hospital, focusing on complex shoulder replacement surgery and upper limb nerve surgery. He subsequently undertook a British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS)-approved fellowship in Chesterfield, where he received further advanced training in shoulder and elbow surgery as well as hand and wrist procedures. Mr Robinson is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and ensuring that each individual fully understands their condition, treatment options and expected outcomes.
