In 2019, he was appointed at Wirral University Teaching Hospital with a specific focus on shoulder and elbow trauma and shoulder replacement surgery. Prior to this, he held a consultant position at Aintree University Hospital, where he managed major traumatic orthopaedic injuries of both the upper and lower limbs and reconstructed complex fractures of the shoulder and elbow. 
Mr. Brookes-Fazakerley earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Liverpool in 2006, following his Bachelor of Science from Imperial College, London in 2001, and completed his specialty training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Greater Manchester and Merseyside. He also holds private practice privileges at Wirral Spire Murrayfield Hospital, where he continues to deliver exceptional care.
