About Mr Philip Ridings
Mr Phillip Ridings is a Consultant General Surgeon with two decades of extensive experience in specialities such as gallstone management, hernia repair, endoscopy and abdominal pain, among other gastrointestinal surgeries. He is based at the Nuffield Haywards Health Hospital and also is on call for Emergency and Trauma. Phillip qualified as a doctor at Southampton University in 1987, and also pursued his surgical training in various regions throughout the UK, including London, Southampton and Birmingham. Phillip also went on to obtain his doctorate degree in Virginia, USA after undertaking in-depth research regarding trauma and infection for two years, after which, he was appointed at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust as Consultant General Surgeon in 2001. In addition to his extensive qualifications and experience, Phillip is also an accredited bowel cancer screening Colonoscopist, and performs colonoscopies to an incredibly high standard.
