Seine Habilitation im Bereich der Wiederherstellung der Gesichtsmimik nach Gesichtslähmungen schloss er 2006 an der Medizinischen Universität Wien ab und erhielt die Lehrbefugnis für Plastische, Ästhetische und Rekonstruktive Chirurgie.
