About Dr Adam Dangoor
Dr. Adam Dangoor did his initial medical training in the UK, after which he undertook his training in medical oncology in New Zealand, completing this training at the Christie Hospital in Manchester, a leading cancer centre. He also carried out a period of three years research as a Cancer Research UK Clinical Fellow studying Immunotherapy of Cancer at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research. This led to the award of a higher degree (MD) by the University of Manchester; a recognition of his outstanding research. Dr. Dangoor is currently working at the Bristol Cancer Institute (NHS), at University Hospitals Bristol & Weston, where he carries out a busy clinical practice. In addition to this, he is also network lead for lung cancer, and Chief Clinical Information Officer. As well as providing care for patients with cancer, he supervises and teach oncology trainees, junior doctors and medical students; teaching the next generation of doctors. He is currently President of the British Sarcoma Group. Dr. Dangoor runs a private practice alongside his work at the Bristol Cancer institute where he cares for patients treated at GenesisCare Bristol, and also manages patients having treatment at home through Sciensus; with excellent outcomes for these patients.
