In 2020, he was awarded a PhD from UCL for his research on using DNA sequencing to diagnose drug resistance in tuberculosis, publishing several first-author papers on drug-resistant respiratory infections.
He remains actively involved in medical education, supervising resident doctors and contributing to national respiratory training and recruitment.
