About
Dr Arig Shamseldin is a General and Pediatric Dentist with more than 10 years of clinical experience, with a strong focus on preventive pediatric dentistry, minimally invasive treatment techniques, and comprehensive management of early childhood caries. She is committed to improving oral health awareness among children and families while providing child-friendly, evidence-based dental care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr Shamseldin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from October 6 University and later completed a Master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry at Tanta University. Her master’s thesis focused on the evaluation of zirconia crowns for the treatment of carious primary anterior teeth, reflecting her particular interest in aesthetic and functional full-coverage restorations for children.
Throughout her career, she has worked across Egypt and the UAE in both academic and clinical settings, including positions at Bright Dental Polyclinic in Abu Dhabi, Cosmo Health Medical Center in Dubai, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Dubai. She also served as a Pediatric Dentistry Demonstrator at October 6 University and completed residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at Tanta University.
Her clinical expertise includes comprehensive pediatric dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs. She is experienced in behavioural management techniques as well as advanced approaches such as nitrous oxide inhalation sedation using modern Baldus systems. She is also trained in the use of painless anaesthesia delivery systems (STA), digital scanning with iTero technology, and dental photography for treatment planning and patient education.
Dr Shamseldin has advanced expertise in modern minimally invasive pediatric dentistry techniques including silver diamine fluoride (SDF), LSTR therapy, SMART restorations, and the Hall technique. She also manages emergency pediatric dental cases and performs full mouth rehabilitation using pediatric zirconia crowns, an area closely linked to her postgraduate research and clinical interests.
In addition to her clinical practice, she actively participates in continuing professional education and has completed certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She has also attended international pediatric dentistry conferences and specialised training programs focused on pediatric full mouth rehabilitation under general anaesthesia and advanced sedation techniques.
