Optometry
About
Amy's passion for optometry stemmed from her personal experience as a glasses wearer since childhood, recognising the transformative impact of good eye care. This passion led her to pursue a career in optometry, fuelled by her interest in science and a desire to make a difference in people's lives through vision care.
With nine years of experience in the optical field, Amy joined Urquhart Opticians in October 2021, where she serves as an IP Optometrist. Prior to her current role, she worked at Boots Opticians for seven years, initially starting as an Optical Assistant before progressing to become a Pre-registration Optometrist and ultimately an Optometrist.
Amy finds the most rewarding aspect of her job to be the opportunity to meet new people and understand their individual needs to provide tailored solutions for improved vision. Her dedication to her profession and commitment to delivering personalised eye care makes her a valuable member of the team at Urquhart Opticians.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
