Over the course of his career, Dr. Rehman has undergone rigorous training in various aspects of cardiology, including general medicine, non-invasive cardiology, and invasive cardiology. His commitment to advancing his expertise led him to complete a Doctor of Medicine degree in cardiology from Zia Uddin Medical University in Karachi in 2003, after five years of intensive training and research.
Dr. Rehman has played a pivotal role in several renowned institutions, including Ziauddin Medical University, the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, and Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases in Pakistan. During this period, he gained extensive experience in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology, performing numerous coronary interventional procedures, peripheral interventions, and managing a wide range of acute, chronic, and complex cardiology cases.
As an Interventional Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Cardiology, Dr. Rehman also took on teaching responsibilities, serving as a Clinical Supervisor for postgraduate cardiology students at Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases.
From 2011 to 2013, Dr. Rehman worked as an Interventional Cardiologist at Zulekha Hospital in Dubai, where he continued to provide high-quality care to acute and chronic cardiology patients. He excelled in performing primary coronary angioplasties for patients experiencing acute myocardial infarctions, while also specialising in non-invasive cardiology procedures such as transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, treadmill testing, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.
