The Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion is part of NHS Lothian’s University Hospitals Division and provides specialist care for the treatment and management of eye diseases and vision-related conditions. Located on Chalmers Street in Edinburgh, the hospital has fully reopened following a temporary closure, with all clinical ophthalmology services now operating on-site.The hospital features an Acute Referral Clinic, three theatres, and two day care wards, offering high-quality ophthalmic care and surgical services. In addition to its Edinburgh base, part of the macular service, including some IVT treatments, is also provided at East Lothian Community Hospital.Services available at The Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion include ophthalmology, orthoptics, ocular prosthetics, and acute eye care.
