Wyndwell care home is a long-established home on the harbour of Peterhead. The building is old and traditional with quirky rooms and high ceilings and large windows. The home balances character and tradition and maintains the comfortable and relaxed feeling of home.Wyndwell care home offers nursing and residential care for up to 31 residents. Rooms are tastefully decorated and updated regularly according to how residents would like upon their arrival to the home. To help create warm and comfortable environments, residents are encouraged to bring favourite pieces of furniture, soft furnishings, pictures and other things to personalise their space, giving it a homely feel. Wyndwell's main focus is to create a caring and happy place for all residents to enjoy, focusing on both physical and emotional wellbeing. Some rooms also benefit from the spectacular view overlooking the harbour, a wonderful way to relax. All rooms have bathroom access, many enjoy ensuite facilities.Wyndwell care home has a team of Registered Nurses that provide 24/7 care and support to residents. The team work with residents and their families to create a care plan tailored to the individual needs of everyone, understanding that no two residents will have identical needs, and the team focus on the importance of personalised care plans. The team of carers at Wyndwell are dedicated and compassionate people who are fully trained and skilled to provide personalised care to residents. All staff across all roles are on-site to help residents to live a happy and fulfilling life at Wyndwell. Regular visits with family and friends are encouraged and there are numerous social spaces around the home that residents are able to spend time with loved ones and friends.All meals are prepared with fresh, local, produce by a qualified cook and assistant cooks. Nutritious and varied meals and menus have been created according to resident's requirements and tastes and the team work tirelessly to cater to all resident's dietary needs as well as providing nutritious meals, with a choice of options at each meal. Meals can be enjoyed in the dining areas or privately in resident's own rooms. Wyndwell also offers: a busy schedule of activities run by the activities and wellbeing team to support a varied programme of physical, emotional, spiritual and religious events to suit everyone. This is offered in 1:1 care as well as group activities and social events, with something for everyone to enjoy and look forward to.Additional services at Wyndwell include holistic therapies, hairdressers and newspaper deliveries.
