Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre provides rehabilitation, care, and support to those over the age of 16 who have suffered a brain injury or those with a neurological disorder. The centre offers specialist therapy for those in the early phases of recovery from an acquired brain injury, as well as residential care for those with progressive neurological illnesses like Motor Neurone Disease. The Murdostoun team is multi-disciplinary and includes a rehabilitation consultant, a consultant neuropsychiatrist, a consultant clinical neuropsychologist, a clinical psychologist, a neurorehabilitation counsellor, as well as a specialist nursing team, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists. They are highly experienced in managing a range of conditions as well as associated needs such as PEG feeds and skin integrity problems. They are also able to offer cognitive rehabilitation, functional retraining, and SMART assessment if required.
