Rooms vary in shape and size, in keeping with the traditional build of the home, and residents are able to personalise their surroundings to make their space as homely as possible.Situated over several floors, all with lift access, the home is equipped with a variety of lounge and quiet areas for residents to relax in. For those seeking a more social setting, the larger social rooms are available for people to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere amongst company of friends and family.Milford House care home offers professional care and support, with 24 hour on site Registered nurse cover, a highly trained care team and a full catering, domestic and activities staff group, the home is well equipped to cater for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of each of it's residents. The team are passionate and dedicated to creating a personalised experience for every resident, understanding that the needs of no two residents are the sameAs well as nursing care, the home also caters for patients with Alzheimer's disease and dementia, those requiring respite care, palliative care and rehabilitation.The food at Milford House is of high quality, and meals are prepared in-house by trained cooks catering for individual choices, preferences and dietary needs. The team pride themselves in preparing fresh, home cooked, nutritious meals with a menu that is regularly rotated and refreshed. Residents are able to enjoy a variety of choices and there is something to suit all tastes.Milford has close links with the community with the local church and local nursery school amongst the groups who regularly visit the home. The home has access to a mini-bus for trips to the theatre and other day trips, to enable the activities programme; which involves both in-house activities and excursions- ensuring there is always something to look forward to. All residents have the choice of how they would like to spend their time and are able to opt in or out of the activities as they wish.Additional services available at Milford House include: hairdressers, podiatry, dietetics and other specialist services, newspaper delivery service, support from community psychiatric nurses and wheelchair services.
