About Dr Zenia Chow
Dr Zenia Chow is a ENT Head and Neck Surgeon certified by the International Board in Facial and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery. She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne after receiving a full academic scholarship. After qualifying, she completed her initial training in general surgery in Victoria then completed specialist training in ENT surgery in Perth. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. To further her surgical expertise, Dr Chow completed three clinical fellowships. She completed an Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (AAFPS) recognised fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery in Perth. Following this, she completed two fellowships, one in Head & Neck Surgery and the other in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Virginia, USA. She also trained with leading Facial Plastic Surgeons at the University of Washington, USA. After completing the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery she became a fully qualified Facial Plastic Surgeon by the AAFPS. Dr Chow is the only surgeon in Victoria certified by the International Board of Facial Plastic Surgery. She is also the first female plastic surgeon in Australia to complete a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr Chow has expertise in all areas of both adult and paediatric ENT conditions, facial aesthetic surgery and head & neck oncology. She has special interests in the following conditions and procedures: • Otoplasty • Facelift, browlift and facial implants • Rhinoplasty (functional and cosmetic) and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) • Thyroid, parotid and submandibular gland problems • Melanoma on head and neck • Sinusitis and sinus surgery • Snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea and blocked nose • Hearing loss • Facial rehabilitation after paralysis • Scar revision Dr Chow strives to provide excellent healthcare and is available to see urgent patients.
