Mr Zaher Toumi is a Consultant Bariatric, Upper Gastrointestinal and General Surgeon offering a comprehensive range of weight‑loss, upper GI and general surgical procedures at Spire Washington Hospital in the North East of England. He provides evidence‑based, personalised care with a strong focus on safety, clarity and long‑term patient support. Training & Background Mr Toumi completed his higher surgical training in General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery in the North West of England (Manchester and Lancashire), working in several outstanding UGI units across Manchester, Sheffield, Preston and Doncaster. Following this, he was appointed to the prestigious Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, one of North America’s first and pioneering bariatric programmes, established in 1962.
