About
Professor Yu-Tze Ng is a paediatric neurologist and epileptologist working at Neurology Network Melbourne (St Kilda Road and Box Hill). He specialises in all aspects of general neurology including epilepsy, migraine, cerebral palsy, tics and Tourette syndrome. He ensures to stay up-to-date with the latest treatments to give his patients the best care and is extremely passionate about improving the lives of his patients. He believes that regular headaches can be easily treated and that abnormal tics often have a subconscious/psychological component that can lead to misdiagnosis.
Professor Ng graduated in 1991 with his MBBS from Monash University before completing his general training in paediatrics at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, and the New Children's Hospital, Sydney. Following this, he undertook a fellowship in child neurology and epilepsy at The University of Texas-Houston and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatric and Child Health Division). He then was an attending pediatric neurologist/epileptologist at the Barrow Neurolgical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Subsequently he was the Chief of Epilepsy and Child Neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, Oklahoma City then Professor (with Tenure) of Pediatrics with Baylor College of Medicine and Chief of Neurology at The Children's Hospital of San Antonio, Texas.
He is also board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
