Subsequently, he completed various stages of medical training, including internship, residency, physician training, and cardiology advanced training at Westmead Hospital. In recognition of his achievements, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. Dr. Deshmukh also holds a Masters in Clinical Trials Research (MClinTr) from the University of Sydney.
