About
Mr Tanvir Khan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist practice dedicated exclusively to knee injuries and conditions. He practises within the NHS at the world renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), the highest ranked specialist orthopaedic hospital in the U.K. He manages the full spectrum of knee pathology, including complex cases referred from across the country as part of a tertiary referral service.
Mr Khan graduated from King’s College London School of Medicine and completed an intercalated BSc (Hons) in Anatomy. After core surgical training, he was appointed to a highly competitive National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellowship in Nottingham, where he undertook specialist registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He was awarded his PhD from the University of Nottingham in 2019.
He is double fellowship trained, having completed advanced knee fellowships at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford and Imperial College Healthcare, London. Prior to joining RNOH, he held substantive Consultant posts at Oxford University Hospitals and Northampton General Hospital.
Mr Khan maintains a strong academic profile, with numerous high-impact publications, over 30 international presentations and contributions to multiple book chapters.
