Dr. Sue Mack
Psychology
About
Sue offers a compassionate and integrative approach to therapy, creating a safe and reflective space for clients to explore their experiences, needs, and relationships. She draws on elements of psychodynamic theory and counselling to tailor sessions to the unique circumstances of each individual.
In addition to her longstanding role at Nightingale Hospital, Sue has also worked in general hospital settings, where she explored the important links between physical and mental health. She brings particular insight into how emotional wellbeing is affected by physical illness, and vice versa.
Sue is also trained in family therapy and is an experienced supervisor for both trainee and qualified therapists.
Outside of clinical practice, Sue is a published author with five books focusing on the relationship between physical health conditions and mental health. Her most recent publication is a handbook for professionals supporting individuals through grief, particularly in cases of loss during pregnancy and childbearing.
She holds a BA in Psychology, an MSc in Psychodynamic Therapy, and an Advanced Diploma in Counselling.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
