They trained in paediatrics in Dublin and then in the UK at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and at University College London, where they completed a clinical fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology before returning to Ireland.
Dr Murphy has a special interest in childhood obesity and has carried out extensive research on this subject. They are a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a member of the RCPI's Clinical Advisory Group on Obesity.
