Dr. Shabeeha K Rana is a highly qualified Consultant Haematologist and Haemato-Oncologist with over 16 years of clinical experience. She holds a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Haematology and Haemato-Oncology from the United Kingdom and is registered and licensed to practise on the GMC register. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from The Aga Khan Medical University in Pakistan.
Throughout her career, Dr. Shabeeha has gained expertise in various aspects of haematology, including general, malignant, and laboratory haematology. She has worked as a Consultant Haematologist at esteemed institutions such as the Royal Marsden Hospital and University Hospitals Birmingham. Her areas of expertise include anaemias, autoimmune blood disorders, blood clots and anticoagulation, obstetric haematology, aplastic anaemia, bleeding or bruising, thrombophilia, and haemophilia.
Dr. Shabeeha also specialises in the field of blood cancer, with extensive knowledge and experience in treating conditions such as leukaemia (acute and chronic), myeloproliferative disorders, amyloidosis, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and plasmacytoma. She has expertise in managing patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and provides comprehensive aftercare.
She is an active member of several professional organisations, including the American Society of Hematology, European Hematology Association, Emirates Oncology Society, Emirates Society of Hematology, British Society of Haematology, and British Association of Pakistani Pathologists.
Currently, Dr. Shabeeha serves as the Director of Clinical Haematology, HSCT, and Cellular Therapy at the American Hospital Dubai, where she continues to provide exceptional care to her patients.
