About Dr Samantha Eisman
Dr Samantha Eisman is a Dermatologist at Sinclair Dermatology with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She has a strong subspecialty interest in hair disorders, including alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia, and frontal fibrosing alopecia. She serves as a Principal Investigator at Sinclair Direct, contributing to over 75 dermatology clinical trials. Dr Eisman is Treasurer and Board Member of the Australian Hair and Wool Society and a Board Member of the International Federation of Hair Research Societies. She also serves on multiple pharmaceutical advisory boards. She graduated with first class honours from the University of Cape Town in 1995, earning distinctions in both clinical and pre-clinical training. After relocating to the UK, she obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and trained at leading London hospitals, including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Royal Free Hospital. She later completed her FCDerm at Groote Schuur Hospital before moving to Australia, where she achieved Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Her broader contributions include establishing South Africa’s first public skin laser service and advancing teledermatology for rural communities, supported by a Galderma Research Grant. She has published widely, contributed to book chapters, presented internationally, and trained dermatologists, GPs, and nurses in dermatology and hair disorders.
