Dr Sam Barke is the Head of Sports Medicine at Meliora Medical, with a specialist clinical focus on adolescent athletes and the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of concussion. Dr Barke has worked extensively across both elite and grassroots sport. His roles have included England Rugby academy doctor, match-day doctor for Harlequins and London Irish, lead doctor for the Rosslyn Park National School 7s, and medical officer for the International Weightlifting Federation. He has also been part of the medical teams at major international events, including the Commonwealth Games, the World Athletics Championships and the World Triathlon Series.

Over the past decade, Dr Barke has played a key role in advancing the understanding and management of concussion in children and adolescents.
