During this period, he developed a special interest in Multiple Sclerosis and completed subspecialty training in Neurophysiology.
In 1989, he joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, where he served as Consultant Neurologist, Senior Consultant, Section Head of Neurology, and Chairman of Neurosciences. He is also Professor of Neurology at Al Faisal University.
