About Dr Robin Sanderson
Dr. Robin Sanderson is a Consultant Haematologist with expertise in Haemato-oncology, specialising in lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), CAR-T cell therapy, stem cell transplantation, and therapeutic apheresis. He has completed training at prestigious institutions, including Guy's and St Thomas', King's College, and St Bartholomew's Hospitals in London, complemented by fellowships at teaching hospitals in Sydney. Completing his Haematology training in 2014, Dr. Sanderson served as a Clinical Lecturer in Haemato-oncology at Barts Cancer Institute until 2019. During this time, he pursued a PhD focusing on CAR-T cell therapy in CLL and lymphoma, exploring their modulation with immunotherapy in pre-clinical models. In 2019, Dr. Sanderson joined King's College Hospital, where he leads the lymphoma CAR-T cell therapy program. He has served as chief and principal investigator on numerous CAR-T clinical trials for lymphoid disorders and oversees therapeutic apheresis for haemato-oncology patients. His leadership extends to the implementation of cutting-edge treatments, including CAR-T cell therapy and stem cell transplantation, ensuring high-quality care for his patients. Dr. Sanderson also has substantial experience in rapid diagnostic services for Haematology, specialising in the evaluation of abnormal blood counts and lymphadenopathy. With his expertise and commitment to innovation, Dr. Sanderson continues to advance the field of Haemato-oncology, delivering exceptional care to his patients.
