About Mr Robin David Banerjee
Mr. Robin David Banerjee is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon specialising in lower limb arthroplasty. He completed his medical degree at Liverpool University Medical School and gained valuable experience during his House Job at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Mr. Banerjee then pursued his Basic Surgical training in Merseyside, where he was exposed to various surgical disciplines, including plastics and neurosurgery. Following his passion for orthopaedics, Mr. Banerjee underwent specialist training in Orthopaedics at the renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, West Midlands. He further honed his skills and knowledge by spending a year as the 10th Cavendish Hip Fellow under the guidance of Professor Ian Stockley in Sheffield. Additionally, he conducts arthroscopic knee surgeries and other day case procedures. Mr. Banerjee has a keen interest in medical education and actively participates in teaching trainees at both Core and Specialist levels. He also provides education to Advanced Nurse Practitioners and General Practitioners through training days, advice leaflets, and educational publications. He is a member of the British Medical Association (BMA) and the British Hip Society. His areas of expertise include enhanced rehabilitation in primary hip and knee replacements, complex primary hip and knee reconstruction, young patients with arthritis following hip dysplasia, Perthes, or previous trauma, revision hip and knee replacements for aseptic loosening, infection, and metal wear, and femoral and acetabular reconstruction with bone grafting and/or specialist titanium augmentation.
