Dr. Roberta Hines is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level (BCBA-D) and a Chartered Behavioural Psychologist with the Psychological Society of Ireland. She holds a Doctorate in Behavioural Therapy and Applied Behaviour Analysis from Maynooth University, Ireland, a Higher Diploma in Montessori Education (Birth to Six Years) from St. Nicholas Montessori College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana.
Dr. Hines is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. She completed EMDR Europe Accredited Standard Training in 2023. In addition to her clinical work, she has hosted both online and in-person training courses on Mindfulness and Meditation, as well as specialized workshops including ACT for Childcare Professionals, ACT for Parents of Anxious Children, and Grow Your Joy—an ACT and art-based course focused on living one’s values. She is also a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
With over 20 years of experience in Early Intervention and Early Childhood Education, Dr. Hines is the co-owner of Tiddlywinks & Scallywags Early Learning Centre, where she integrates the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Montessori Education to create enriched learning environments that foster holistic child development.
Her expertise extends to evidence-based early intervention methodologies, including the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Promoting the Emergence of Advanced Knowledge (PEAK), Hanen Language Program, Lámh and LEGO 6 Bricks.
Dr. Hines is the co-author of Ready 2 Go Preschool Curriculum.
