Dr Dhir graduated from medical school with honours in 1996 and subsequently trained in paediatrics and neonatology in various institutions in Australia and overseas. During their training, Dr Dhir received the Young Investigator Award by the Perinatal Research Society of the United States, giving them the opportunity to conduct research in Neonatal Health with leading researchers in the US.
Having gained extensive experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatology, Dr Dhir specialised in Developmental Behavioural Paediatrics. They completed their specialist paediatric training at The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, working in child and adolescent psychiatry and developmental-behavioural paediatrics. At the hospital, they have been a Paediatrician in the Learning Disabilities Clinic, Behaviour Clinic, ADHD Clinic and the School Function Program clinic. Dr Dhir has also worked with Austin Health and was actively involved in the program for children with Eating Disorders and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
