About Dr Reem Al- Shaikh
Dr. Reem Al Shaikh completed her medical training at Guys, Kings, and St Thomas’s in London in 2006 before moving to Cambridge, where she finished her GP training at Addenbrookes in 2011. She holds an MBBS and MRCGP, along with diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Sexual and Reproductive Health. In addition, she possesses the FSRH letter of competencies in IUDs (coils) and subdermal implants, as well as the Faculty of Sexual Reproductive Health Advanced Menopause Certificate, making her a recognised specialist with the British Menopause Society. With over a decade of experience as a full-time GP partner within the NHS, Dr. Al Shaikh has developed expert skills in women's health, running specialist menopause clinics, contraceptive procedure clinics, and delivering comprehensive education in the field. Passionate about promoting women’s health, well-being, longevity, and vitality, she is committed to incorporating lifestyle measures to enhance both mental and physical health. Based at Linton, Dr. Al Shaikh serves as the clinical lead for the Linton site and is also a GP trainer, actively mentoring future practitioners. In her role as Mental Health Lead for the PCN, she often recommends insightful books and podcasts, reflecting her dedication to holistic, patient-centred care.
