About
Mr Ravindar Anbarasan is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon and Urologist with extensive experience in the management of paediatric surgical and urological conditions. He has trained across multiple specialist paediatric centres over more than 18 years, including leading UK institutions such as Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, as well as centres in other international healthcare systems.
His principal area of subspecialist interest is paediatric urology. Mr Anbarasan provides assessment and surgical management for a wide range of congenital and acquired urological conditions in children. These include foreskin conditions, undescended testes, hypospadias, and congenital urinary tract abnormalities such as posterior urethral valves, vesicoureteric reflux and pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction. He has particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques, where clinically appropriate.
In addition to reconstructive and corrective urological surgery, Mr Anbarasan manages functional bladder conditions in childhood, including recurrent urinary tract infections and nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting). His broader paediatric surgical practice includes hernia and hydrocele repair, as well as the assessment and treatment of common paediatric lumps and bumps.
Mr Anbarasan’s clinical work integrates diagnostic evaluation, medical management and surgery, with care planned according to the child’s age, condition and individual clinical needs.
