To further refine her expertise, Miss Madani undertook a colorectal surgical fellowship at the internationally renowned Peritoneal Malignancy Institute (PMI) at Basingstoke Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in managing complex cases of recurrent colorectal cancer. She then completed a fellowship at Frimley Park Hospital, focusing on high-volume laparoscopic bowel resections.
In addition to her clinical work, Miss Madani has a strong research background. She conducted two years of research and earned an MD (Res) from University College London in 2009, focusing on obesity and surgery. She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and presented at national and international conferences.
Miss Madani is experienced in all aspects of colorectal disease, including laparoscopic surgery, treatment of colorectal cancer, and management of benign bowel conditions such as diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease. She also specialises in the treatment of haemorrhoids, anal pain, anal fistula, fissure, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and repair of groin and abdominal wall hernias.
