Dr Rami El Moukari is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Health Shield Medical Centre, part of Capital Health, in Abu Dhabi. He completed his medical degree at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2000 and became specialised in Hepato-Gastroenterology at the same university in 2007. Dr El Moukari also completed advanced gastroenterology training in France at the University of Paris XII in 2006, followed by a Master's degree in Cell Biology at the University of Paris VII in 2007. He was also awarded a PhD for his work surrounding Chronic Viral Hepatitis at the University of Paris VII in 2010.
Before moving to the UAE, Dr El Moukari worked as an Assistant Hepatologist in France. During this time he managed several cases of patients with liver diseases including cirrhosis, liver cancer, vascular liver disease and chronic viral hepatitis. In 2010, he moved back to Beirut and practiced as a Gastroenterologist at Bellevue University Medical Center. He moved to Abu Dhabi in 2012 and began practicing at Advanced Cure Diagnostic Center before joining Capital Health in 2018.
