Dr. med. Hoydem engagiert sich in der medizinischen Gemeinschaft und war bis 2012 Delegierter im Ärztlichen Kreis- und Bezirksverband München Stadt und Land. Zuvor war er Delegierter im Bayerischen Hausärzteverband/Bezirk München Stadt und Land. Darüber hinaus ist er Mitglied der Geschäftsführung des Betriebsärztlichen Zentrum München und Ärztlicher Leiter der Untersuchungsstelle Innenstadt des Betriebsärztlichen Zentrum München.
