About Prof Tony Wright
Professor Tony Wright is a renowned and respected Consultant Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat-ENT) Doctor practising at 150 Harley Street. With experience in all areas of ENT, he sees a variety of different issues but his clinical interest is in hearing and balance disorders, infections, glue ear, tinnitus and perforations. He welcomes patients of all ages, including young children and offers an in-depth consultation and assessment of the presenting problem, and works collaboratively with his clients to find the best treatment available. Dr Wright began his career at Cambridge University, graduating with a Medical Sciences Degree before being awarded a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Oxford University in 1974. In that year he became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians. He completed an extensive training scheme in his chosen field of ENT across the UK, including a Research Fellowship in Liverpool which led him to the prestigious title of Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. In 1995, he graduated from the University of Wales with a Law Degree and undertakes medico-legal work for both claimants and defendants. Throughout his career he has been heavily involved in medical education having lectured in Liverpool and London, and became the Professor of Otolaryngology at the University College London Ear Institute in 2006. He has a keen interest in research, having raised £14m in funds and has published nearly 100 journals in his speciality.
