He is one of the few surgeons globally performing all of his hip arthroscopic and femoroacetabular surgery through less invasive minicapsular incisions. He was one of the first surgeons in the UK to perform Anatomic Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction which is now a standard practice. He performs a multitude of the latest cartilage repair techniques which are endorsed by the International Cartilage Regeneration and Joint Preservation Society. Dr. Jairaj also developed 3D planned patient-specific prostheses for Hip and Knee replacements which are customised to the individual.
Dr. Jairaj has an impressive academic background, with a medical degree from the University of Birmingham, UK. He completed his Orthopaedic training at Imperial College London, and a French Fellowship at Clinique Du Sport, Merignac, Bordeaux, France, as well as American Travelling Fellowship to Multiple Centers of Excellence. He is a member of many Orthopaedic Societies and Associations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), International Cartilage Regeneration and Joint Preservation Society (ICRS), International Society for Hip Arthroscopy and Hip Preservation (ISHA), Member of Emirates Orthopedic Society, Member of the British Association of Surgery of the Knee (BASK) and the British Medical Association (BMA).
