Heidekrüger seine Facharztausbildung in der renommierten Abteilung für Plastische, Rekonstruktive, Hand- und Verbrennungschirurgie. Er hat an verschiedenen nationalen und internationalen Kongressen teilgenommen und seine Forschungsergebnisse in renommierten Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht.
