Dr. Muirhead trained extensively in Plastic Surgery within the London Deanery for six years before joining Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, where she served as a Dermatology Surgeon for nine years. During this time, she managed general dermatology and urgent skin cancer clinics, performing complex head and neck excisions, flap and graft reconstructions, and skin cancer surveillance in high-risk and transplant patients. She also served as Academic Lead for Medical Dermatology and contributed to the Specialist Cutaneous Lymphoma and Transplant Skin Surveillance Clinics.
Dedicated to education and research, Dr. Muirhead holds a Master’s degree in Education, has co-authored two medical textbooks, and developed innovative e-learning programmes for medical trainees. In 2015, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology (PGDipDerm) with distinction from Cardiff University, where she now teaches as a course tutor
She is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, an Associate Member of the Royal College of Physicians, and affiliated with the British Association of Dermatologists.
