His higher surgical training was completed in London and the North-West Thames region, including Charing Cross, St Bartholomew's, and the Royal London Hospitals.
Mr Patani is involved in teaching and is a faculty member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a past National Representative for General Surgery Trainees at the Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Training Interface Group. He has also worked as a surgical teaching fellow at Imperial College Medical School and as an anatomy demonstrator at the Royal Free and University College London Medical Schools.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons.
