About Dr Neda Alband
Dr Neda Alband is a consultant dermatologist, with broad expertise in treating adults and children across all aspects of dermatology in her private practice. Her subspecialist expertise includes skin cancer, complex hair and nail disease and general dermatology. Dr Alband’s NHS experience includes running a tertiary hair clinic in London, treating patients with complex hair-loss and scalp conditions. Additionally, Dr Alband is the Dermatology clinical lead for a leading private provider delivering NHS services having set up their dermatology service. Dr Alband graduated from Bart’s and The London School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her post-graduate medical training in London. Dr Alband completed her rigorous dermatology training at Cambridge University Hospitals. Dr Alband has a strong research background, having worked as a dermatology clinical research fellow in Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) at the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital. In addition, Dr Alband is noted for her work with the European Journal of Dermatology having served as the UK representative on the Residents’ Board of the European Journal of Dermatology. She has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, presented at national and international meetings, and received the British Association of Dermatologists’ prestigious Bristol Cup prize for her research on cutaneous GvHD. A committed educator, Dr Alband holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge and regularly teaches and supervises dermatology trainees, nurses and medical students. Known for her evidence-based practice, Dr Alband was nominated for the 'You Made a Difference; award at Cambridge University Hospitals, with patients particularly commending her exceptional care and empathetic approach.
