About Mr Nawar Abdulsattar
Mr Abdulsattar is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a wealth of experience and a passion for advancing the field of orthopaedics. He graduated from the University of Al-Mustansiriyah with an MB ChB in 2003. Following his education, Mr Abdulsattar's pursuit of excellence led him to Sweden, where he underwent rigorous training and earned recognition from the prestigious Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, obtaining his MD degree. He undertook comprehensive training in trauma and orthopaedics, resulting in his certification as a Swedish-Board certified specialist in the field. Throughout his career, Mr Abdulsattar has been involved in research, particularly in developmental hip dysplasia and ankle fractures epidemiology. He enrolled in PhD studies at Gothenburg University, focusing on ankle fractures' treatment methods and outcomes. Mr Abdulsattar's expertise and dedication were further honed during his time as a consultant surgeon at Aleris hospitals in Stockholm, where he specialised in hip and knee arthroplasty. A member of the Swedish Orthopaedic Association, Mr Abdulsattar's contributions to the field extend beyond borders. Despite relocating to the UK in 2020, he continues to serve as a visiting surgeon in Sweden, maintaining his connections and sharing his expertise internationally.
