About
Dr Nariman Ahmadi is a urologist and robotic surgeon with particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery, specifically prostate cancer surgery, kidney and nephron preserving surgery, and bladder cancer surgery. He is one of Australia's leading robotic cancer surgeons, having performed more than 1,500 robotic surgery procedures. Dr Ahmadi also treats general urological conditions and has special interests in PSA, haematuria investigation, renal stones, vasectomy, and BPH and laser surgery.
Dr Ahmadi received his medical degree from the University of New South Wales before gaining a master's degree in surgery from the University of Sydney. After completing his urological surgery training, he undertook a two-year fellowship in advanced robotic and laparoscopic urological oncology at the Institute of Urology, University of Southern California. During this time, he gained skills in minimally invasive urological procedures including reconstructive surgeries. He was also involved in pioneering robotic-retroperitoneal node dissection for the treatment of testicular cancer as well as the world's first use of robotic level 4 IVC tumour thrombectomy for renal cancer.
Dr Ahmadi is dedicated to medical education and provides training for robotic surgeons in Australia. He has given presentations internationally and nationally and is extensively published in medical journals.
