About Mrs Fawzia Imtiaz-Crosbie
Mrs Fawzia Imtiaz-Crosbie is a Consultant Breast Surgeon. She qualified from University College London and The Middlesex Medical School and undertook her specialist training in surgery on the Chelsea and Westminster rotation. She was awarded an Oncoplastic fellowship at The Royal Marsden Hospital. For her MSc, Mrs Imtiaz-Crosbie studied the role of matrix metalloproteases in wound healing. Mrs Imtiaz-Crosbie has a keen interest in all aspects of breast cancer surgery. She routinely performs complex interventions including mastectomy, breast reconstruction after mastectomy, therapeutic mammaplasty etc. Mrs Imtiaz-Crosbie is particularly interested in breast conservation s and symmetrisation surgery. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, Mrs Imtiaz-Crosbie is involved in family history and genetic testing service and risk-reducing surgery. Mrs Imtiaz-Crosbie is actively involved in the research. She has co-authored numerous papers in the field of breast surgery and has presented nationally and internationally.
