Mr Vel Nandapalan is a Consultant ENT Surgeon appointed as a substantive consultant in January 2000 to St.Helens and Knowsley NHS Trust. He was trained in all aspects of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in the Merseyside training rotation, completing his Skull base Fellowship in Zurich, Switzerland and Neuro-otology fellowship in Copenhagan, Denmark, Los Angeles USA. He is the Surgical Tutor in the Royal College of Surgeons and Honorary lecturer to university of Liverpool. He is also member of the Merseyside Specialist Training and Education Committee. He also set up the first hands on Merseyside temporal bone cadaver dissection National/ International course.
