Some of his vitreo-retinal procedures and treatment includes macular hole surgery, retinal detachment surgery, epiretinal membrane surgery, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion and successful treatment for floaters as well as YAG laser capsulotomy.
Joey is well known in the North West of England for managing patients whom has undergone complicated cataract surgery and requiring specialist interventions.
He continually audits his own practice to maintain the highest standards of medical and surgical care.
Joey has a keen interest in teaching and has been surgically training trainee Ophthalmic surgeons for over 15 years.
He has published extensively with over 25 publications in various national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Joey is an avid Liverpool Football Club supporter and is also passionate about West Indies Cricket.
