About
Mr. Subramanian Ravichandran is a Consultant Urologist with extensive training in all aspects of urology, including female urinary incontinence, uro-oncology (specialising in prostate and renal cancer), and renal stone disease. He is currently employed as a Consultant Urologist at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr. Ravichandran's areas of expertise cover a broad spectrum of urological conditions, including urological cancers, urodynamics, urinary tract infections, subfertility, sexual dysfunction, prostate cancer, microsurgical vasectomy reversal, male infertility, female urology, bladder and kidney stone disease, bladder cancer, benign prostate diseases, and female urinary incontinence. Many of these procedures can be performed as day-case operations with excellent success rates.
He has gained advanced knowledge in modern techniques for prostate cancer management through fellowships at the Henry Ford Institute, Detroit, United States, and Elizabethinen Hospital, Linz, Austria. Additionally, Mr. Ravichandran completed a sub-specialty fellowship in endourology and renal stone disease in Belfast, where he specialised in minimally invasive and endoscopic treatments for renal stone disease.
Mr. Ravichandran graduated in 1990 from Madras, India, and received accredited training in general surgery, urology, and renal transplantation in India. He moved to the UK in 1998, where he continued his specialist training and passed the Intercollegiate Board of Examination for Specialist Urology Training in 2007. He was appointed as a consultant at Warrington and Halton Hospitals in June 2008.
