He serves as the Global Medical Director of the humanitarian organisation Humanity First, is a Permanent Council Member of the G4 Alliance—advocating for surgical, obstetric, trauma, and anaesthesia care worldwide—and leads the Forum on International Crisis Management at the Institute for Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London.
