Dr Chatterjee received his training in musculoskeletal, sports, and exercise medicine at Charing Cross Hospital, Queen Mary University of London, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and Hammersmith Hospital. He worked as a GP in emergency medicine, anaesthesia, and intensive care medicine for a number of years in both the UK and Australia before becoming a specialist.
Dr Chatterjee is the General Secretary of the British Association of Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) and a member of the European College of Sport and Exercise Physicians' research committee.
