Additionally, Mr. Kothari is interested in research regarding Head and Neck Oncology, regarding patient follow up protocol. He has over 25 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has also received the awards Glory of India award- 2011 and Clinical Excellence award for my NHS work at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

He is the chair for the Head and Neck Cancer MDT for Beds & Hert's cancer network and was the clinical director for the ENT department at Luton & Dunstable Trust.

He is an examiner for the FRCS exam in ENT also lectures on a number of national training courses.

He is a family man and happily married with two children (and a dog) and enjoys playing badminton and listening to classical music in his spare time.
