About Mr Paul Gillespie
Mr Paul Gillespie currently serves as a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon on the NHS at St. George's Healthcare NHD Trust. Additionally, he has private practices in Ashtead, Surrey, and North Cheam. His primary specialities are a knee, hip, and trauma surgery, including pelvic and acetabular reconstruction, hip and knee arthroplasty, and lower limb trauma, and sports injuries. His education began with MB BCh from University College Dublin in 1993. Mr Gillespie also received his MMedSc via an anatomy scholarship at that same institution in 1995. His orthopaedic training was in Yorkshire, and he further has completed specialist fellowships in the areas of lower limb arthroplasty and arthroscopy in Adelaide in 2007. Additionally, he completed fellowships in pelvic and acetabular reconstruction and revision hip arthroplasty at St. George's University Hospital in 2008. Mr Gillespie also managed to find time amidst his training to receive his MSc in Computer Science from the University of Hull in 2006. That same year, he was inducted as a Fellow in the Royal College of Surgeons. Mr Gillespie maintains active membership in a number of professional organizations, including the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), British Hip Society (BHS), the Orthopaedic Trauma Society (OTS), and British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK), as well as the aforementioned orthopaedic Fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons.
